NGO ‘Amurt Ukraine’. AMURT (Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team)

NGO “AMURT Ukraine” is an affiliate of the international non-governmental charitable organisation AMURT, which was founded in 1965. AMURT is officially recognised by the United Nations as a non-governmental charitable organisation. The organisation operates in 34 countries. It seeks ways to solve problems at the local level, understanding that there are no ready-made methods. Each situation is unique and requires a specific approach that depends on the specific circumstances.

In Ukraine!

The activities of AMURT Ukraine are managed by a supervisory board. Operational management of the organisation is entrusted to the director, who acts in accordance with the decisions of the supervisory board and has the authority to engage contractors to implement project activities, including on a voluntary basis.

AMURT Ukraine operates in various cities, helping victims of military action by providing hot meals, food packages, medicines, clothing, and assistance to animal shelters.

It also creates conditions for the rehabilitation and recreation of refugees and military personnel who are recovering.

Our partners.

The organisation is non-profit. Charitable donations and volunteer labour are used to provide assistance. AMURT calls for support for charitable activities financially, through personal participation or non-materially.

Since the beginning of 2025, the NGO has implemented a systematic financial audit to ensure the transparent and effective use of charitable funds.

All current and planned projects are subject to preliminary discussion, financial planning, and budgeting. Reports on the movement of funds and audit results are published on the organisation’s official website in the ‘Reporting’ section.

Support for Ukrainian refugees

abroad and placement in AMURT centres (Poland, Sicily)

Financial assistance

refugee families who have moved to safer cities in Ukraine

Assistance to the Dovbyshche boarding school

building materials, stationery, clothing and food, educational games and master classes for children

Conducting events

Master classes and art therapy for children, psychological assistance for adults in Dnipro
